Beautiful, Artful Men's Wedding Bands-Mokume Gane
Monday, July 21, 2008

Mokume gane is an ancient Japanese metalsmithing art, used originally in the production of samurai swords. it literally means “wood grain metal”. In this process there are alternating layers of contrasting metal, (usually a minimum of 10 – 20 layers) which are bonded into a single billet and then cut and shaped to form ring material. The result is a beautiful artistic pattern which somewhat resembles a topographic map. The stunningly beautiful Mens wedding bands pictured is a rendition of the art of Mokume Gane. This ring offers Grey Titanium and Black Titanium alloy folded and fused together under incredible heat. Notice the iridescent qualities of the metals (blue hues in certain light). Each of these types of rings is a unique work of art!
